Buying a home starts long before you make an offer.

This educational workshop is designed for future homebuyers who want clarity. If you’re thinking about purchasing a home, preparation begins well before pre-approval and continues long after closing day.

In this class, we’ll walk through:
• What lenders are actually looking for in today’s market
• How to financially prepare before you apply
• Common first-time buyer mistakes to avoid
• Down payment assistance options that may be available to you

You’ll also learn how life insurance can function as more than just a policy, but as a financial asset that provides income protection, long-term stability, liquidity when life happens, and protection both before and after buying a home.

This workshop will be led by Deja, Mortgage Loan Officer, and Dr. Whitney Griffin, Life Insurance and Annuity Specialist. Together, they’ll help you properly prepare, strategically protect, and confidently position yourself for long-term homeownership.

As part of CAST’s course “Postsecondary: Introduction to Universal Design for Learning (UDL),” Dr. Whitney Griffin will lead the lecture and class dialogue on equitable assessments. While this lecture is not open to the public, consider bringing CAST’s course to your higher education institution.

Dr. Whitney and Jason, owner of Jason Marshall Consulting, meet for a private business strategy session. This session is for business owners only, where they can discuss their quarterly and weekly goals and hold each other accountable.

Once a month, an international group of educators meet to form an educational consultant collective. This group is dedicated to connecting with each other as a field around Universal Design for Learning (UDL) and its impact. The goal is to direct people to the right resources and practices the values of belonging in their pedagogy.

Got a project you need to work on? Need an uninterrupted chunk of time to do that one thing you’ve been meaning to do? Join Dr. Whitney Griffin for a 90-minute block of time to be Writing Buddies. This means that you’ll work on your idea, and I’ll work on mine (virtually over Zoom) with periodic check-ins. I’ll play some music, and we can hold each other accountable to our tasks.
